Sean Trivass started writing about horse racing while still working in an office as the sport was and still is his passion, and has proudly never missed a deadline since.

Years of toil at local papers and radio stations have seen him rise slowly through the ranks and he now writes as "Hyperion" for The Independent as well as for numerous other publications and websites. Counting jockeys, owners, and trainers among his friends, he is a well known face on the race course, not just in the United Kingdom but around the World, and is a prime example of "it's not what you know but who you know" as he carefully fuses information with hours of form study, to provide witty but informative articles for his readers.

A Director of Sir Ivor Racing, where he plans to bring racing to more and more people, he also runs his own Sports Writing Workshop and has recently been nominated for the Sports Journalists Association "Internet Sportswriter" and "Specialist Correspondent" awards of 2011.
