I like the look of Boss’s Destination today at Beverley for Alan Swinbank. This 5-y-o won two of his first four tries at two miles and remains on an attractive mark. The reason for that is a couple of below par efforts, but they were on heavy ground, the last of which was on the some of the worst flat ground in living memory at Newcastle. Therefore, I think a line can be drawn through those runs and based on previous form this horse represents great value today.
Boss’s Destination has won off marks of 72 and 81 and today races off 76. Alan Swinbank is amongst the winners and whilst there are a couple of dangers I think the at 15.00 this horse is worth supporting. The obvious dangers are Mojolika for the in-form Tim Easterby and also the bottom weight Moon Trip for Mark Johnston, although I am not convinced the latter will see out the longer trip. Today’s recommended bet is 1 point win on Boss’s Destination at 15.00 with Stan James.
