VALUEMAN – Tuesday 19th June

The big day is here Royal Ascot 2012, Jubilee year.  I have already recommended Tangerine Trees at 26.00 and I am surprised that he is still available at those odds, I really do doubt that he will be allowed to go off at that price!

All at From The Stables know Tangerine Trees trainer Bryan Smart very well, as he is the trainer of a couple of our horses, including Free Zone who ran a cracker on Saturday to finish second to Pearl Secret.  Smart seems to be going under the radar a little bit which might account for the odds of Tangerine Trees and his other runner at Royal Ascot tomorrow Foxtrot Romeo.  Foxtrot Romeo was second in the Irish 2000 Guineas beaten a length by Power, who is favourite for the St James’s Paace Stakes. So at 17.00 with Sportingbet 100£ in Free bets!, I think Smart’s horse has more than a small chance of reaching the frame and should be backed each-way.

Later in the day another of our trainers William Knight also has a decent chance of hitting the frame with his Listed class stayer Western Pearl.  The 5-y-o mare has shown that she handles give in the ground and also seems to need a trip of 2 miles plus.  Whether this marathon trip of 2 and a half miles will suit is uncertain, however at 17.00 she is also worth supporting with Boylesports 20£ in Free bets! in the 17:00 Ascot Stakes.

I also recommend a small stake each-way trixie on the two horses mentioned above plus Tangerine Trees.
