Horse Racing Tips – 6 June 2012 – Nottingham and Fontwell

Well we had another winner yesterday and hopefully we can add to that this afternoon thanks to two obscure selections I have come up with without the aid of any alcohol!

This afternoon at Fontwell we come across the age old question once again in a novice chase of do we follow the out of form but top class hurdler in the hope that fences wake him up, or stick with the in form but lower class animal – decisions decisions! Personally I like to take the risk which leads me straight to Ruler Of All at Fontwell who has his first run over fences in the 3.25pm this afternoon with Richard Johnson in the saddle.  Rated 135 when last seen over the smaller obstacles, that makes him on a pazr with the short priced  favourite and we could well have the value as he seemed sure to go on to be even better than that rating until losing his way for some reason.

Fir the NAOP, I was lucky enough to sit at a media dinner with David Elsworth a couple of months back and he told us all then that he had a decent two year old called Bentleysoysterboy.  Call me lucky or call me stupid, but I have managed to miss him on both of his outings so far, and he has been out with the washing – twice! Last time out at Newmarket he was backed down to 11/4 favourite but nobody told the son of Kheleyf who was a well beaten seventh, looking as if the sixth furlong was well beyond him.  Dropped back in trip to the minimum again this afternoon, and with first time blinkers on to boot, I am hopeful I have timed it perfectly and can get away with one bet and one win before he disappears off the map!
