VALUEMAN – Wednesday 16th May

Apologies for not posting yesterday on what would have been a nice day, but I had to encounter a little man syndrome which unfortunately ate into my time to post.  William Knight provided From The Stables’ subscribers with a nice winner and I am hopeful he can do the same today.

His runner today is in the 14:50 at Lingfield and he told us that “Tenavon has come out of her last race very well and I think the step up in trip will really help. Should be there or thereabouts and I’m very hopeful of a big run.” At 7.50 with Paddy Power 50£ in Free bets! the horse should be backed to win.

Charlie Mann did us proud on Saturday evening at Warwick, where under a great ride from Gavin Sheehan Who Owns Me followed up his Fontwell win with as econd career success.  Charlie has really hit form over the last week and I’m hopeful he can strike again today with Mahayogin also at Fontwell.  The favourite Nicky Henderson’s Pippa Greene has been second four times, whilst Mann’s 4-y-o has been fourth four times, but I’m hopeful the first time blinkers can help this afternoon.  Mann told us “I think that Mahayogin holds a bit back for himself so we are trying the blinkers today which have improved him a bit on the gallops. If that converts to the track we would have a squeek in this today.” He should be backed at smaller stakes to win the 14:40 at Fontwell at 12.00 with William Hill.
