Tennis Picks – French Open Day 5

Heather Watson – Julia Goerges
Goerges reached the 3rd round here last year and I wouldn’t exactly be surprised to see it happening again, but she can also be a bit wobbly during a match which is why I’ll take on Watson to win at least a set.

The Brit has enjoyed a very fine campaign so far going through the qualies, so she’s played 4 matches already and she has yet to lose a single set. Her confidence must be high.

Sofia Arvidsson – Yaroslava Shvedova
Arvidsson managed to exclude Vinci from the tournament in the first round which is a rare bit of succes at the Roland Garros for her.

It’s the 12th time she’s taking part and never ever has she managed to pass the 2nd round. Shvedova managed that the first time in 2009 when she reached the 3rd round and in 2010 she went all the way to the quarterfinal. She’s come through the qualies here and has yet to lose a set.
