Tennis Picks – French Open Day 4

Martin Klizan – Nicolas Mahut
Mahut managed to beat Andy Roddick in the first round, but apparently that’s easier than it used to be and I’m not hesitating in going against Mahut today.

It doesn’t really matter whom he plays when he gets to this stage, there’s always a rather good chance that he’ll drop out. He’s been coming here since 2000 and has never ever been able to pass the 2nd round. Reason enough for me.

Petra Martic – Marion Bartoli
They met for the first time earlier this year with Bartoli winning in 2 sets indoors. She’s not a queen on clay court but not bad either, proven last year when she reached the semifinal here in Paris. Perhaps she’s very eager to do one better this year?

Agnieszka Radwanska – Venus Williams
These 2 also met earlier this year with Venus having a really good record against Radwanska, but the polish girl absolutely tore Venus apart as she’s been doing with a lot of opponents this year.

Venus is not a bad clay courter, but I simply think Radwanska is too good at the moment.
