Arantxa Rus – Jamie Hampton
Hampton won their only previous meeting but that was on hard court. On clay Rus has considerably more experience which will help her prevail today, I think.

Last year in the same round here in Paris, Rus managed to knock out no less than Kim Clijsters. She’s not enjoyed that kind of success so far this year but revisiting a succesful haunt can help the process along.

Mischa Zverev – Julien Benneteau
Zverev has taken the qualifying route to get to this stage, but against an old French crowd favourite I don’t think Zverev will go any further. It’s his 5th visit to Paris and he has yet to get through to the second round.
