Horse Racing Tips – 18 May 2012 – York

As you may have read earlier in the week I am now in Singapore ahead of Sunday for the Singapore Airlines International and the Krisflyer Sprint, both Group Ones with amazing prize money yet sadly ignored back home in the UK, though God only knows why, class racing is exactly that regardless of the racetrack?

As mentioned by mumblings will be cut short for a week or so (too many pieces of work to watch and parties to attend), so off we go, starting with the opener at York when I am keen on the chances of Baileys Jubilee. Trained by Mark Johnston locally (well, sort of), the son of Bahamian Bounty is the best juvenile I have seen so far in 2012 with two wins from two races, the last one by eight lengths, and it will take something pretty special to lower his colours here.

Godolphin have moved Prix Royal Oak winner Be Fabulous to Newmarket from the Andre Fabre yard in France which is a big risk and a no win situation for trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni but forgetting that, he is the clear form pick ahead of the Yorkshire Cup at 2.30pm. He stays for ever, handles any ground, and is a Group One winner racing against Group Two quality opponents, and if he is fully fit, he is home and hosed granted a clear run here.
