Final Weekend Pointers

So it’s all come down to the final weekend. Most of the issues have been resolved, but for some teams, it will be the biggest 90 minutes they have played.

Stevenage Borough with a win can claim the final play off spot in League 1 and will take on Sheffield United if they do. Borough all but ended United automatic promotion push with a draw at Bramall Lane last week. They take on a Bury team in mid division and nothing to play for.

A massive game at either end of the table in league 2, where Hereford United could fall into the Conference if they fail to win at home to Torquay United. Torquay with a victory could beat Crawley Town to the third automatic promotion spot if Crawley fail to beat Accrington Stanley.

Even a victory might not be good enough for Hereford who will be relying on Barnet not getting anything out of their game with Burton Albion. I feel Torquay will have the momentum on an emotional day at Edgar Street.

Torquay at 2.15 with Bwin is a decent price.

Crawley Town face a tough game at Accrington Stanley but with only 1 loss in 14 and no apparent hangover after Steve Evans quit, Town could spoil the party for Torquay and Southend United. Just 1 remaining promotion place with 3 teams heading into battle for it.

Stanley, mid table mediocrity with only pride to play for will succumb to Towns flair and guile as one last push should see them over the line.

1.6 away from home isn’t good, but with what is at stake, the bookies are taking no chances.

All to play for and it should be an intriguing weekend’s football.
