Horse Racing Tips – Monday 30 April – Windsor & Kempton

Well we new our fate pretty early on Saturday with the NAP unseating at the first hurdle but these things happen and life goes n even if it is massively frustrating as Balder Succes is such a talented horse when everything goes right as we have seen with all his easy successes (no pun intended).

The all-weather will soon remind it’s critics why it has a place on the UK racing scene as yet more rain and high winds threaten to wipe out or at least decimate the turf racing over the next few days. This afternoon will not be easy so we shall bet accordingly with a couple of “baby bets” to keep us interested without going totally overboard.

One small bet to start with on the unraced Gold Edition could possibly pay dividends as I have heard from Newmarket that the Jeremy Noseda yard think the son of Mr Greeley is half decent. A half brother to Ana Emarati who won three races and was rated in the 80’s, he may not need to be a lot better than that to score here, and as is often the case, once you hear something from the gallops I feel almost duty bound to follow it up with a bet!

If Windsor go ahead this evening (and they seem pretty confident at the time of writing), then my only other bet will be on once raced juvenile Citius who looked as if the race would do him the power of good when third at Bath on his debut. The betting suggested he had no chance that day as I remember expecting him to go off favourite yet he drifted all the way out of 5/2 by the time the stalls opened, and I am quietly confident we will see an improved performance here. On heavy going it seems likely racecourse experience will be invaluable, and as he was running on over the minimum trip that day, his stamina should get him home ahead of his rivals here.

Saturday Suggestions:

Sensible bets for Punters

2pts Win CITIUS 5.40pm Windsor

Silly bet for Dreamers

1pt Win GOLD EDITION 3.15pm Kempton
