Time to free roll

Well, for the 2nd time in 2 years we are free rolling on the final of the Johnstone Paint Trophy. Back in October we took 19.0 on Swindon Town winning the Trophy with a very respectable 5.5 just to reach Wembley, and just like our tip last season Carlisle United, we have done it again.

Even though the Robbins are in league 2 and Chesterfield a division higher, the current plight of both clubs mean Town are slight favourites to be victorious in their first trip to Wembley in 43 years!

Sitting in pole position in league 2, Paulo Di Canio’s first managers job should end with a trophy and 30,000 Town fans should be celebrating at the end of the game.

On the form side of things, 2 away defeats sandwiched in between 4 home victories means The Robins are ready to take on the Spirites who, with only 1 win in 6  are staring relegation in the face. Bottom of the league and 6 points from safety.

Would boss John Sheridan swap a day at Wembley for safety in league 1? You bet, would be the answer, but they have to enjoy the experience and hopefully it will help them in their battle to avoid the drop.

Tip wise this weekend means we have to look at our pockets, so we are advising taking a maximum bet on Chesterfield, which if it wins means we win on the day and a 2.5 point profit with the Robins getting to Wembley.

If the bet loses we win 19.0 points on Town lifting the Trophy, plus the 5.5 already in the bag for reaching the final. Either way, we can’t lose.

I’m tipping Chesterfield to edge my bets, but will be wearing the Red scarf and cheering on Di Canio’s men all the way for that huge profit.

Come on The Robins……
