League 1. Sticking with the Top Guns.

It is easy to say “Well the top 2 will win again” but the way the top 4 have all played this season, we could have taken the bookies to the cleaners as both Sheffield Clubs, Huddersfield Town and Charlton Athletic seem to be streets ahead any other teams in League 1.

Sheffield United look to have the easier game as they entertain relegation threatened Wycombe Wanderers. With just 2 wins in 7 and no away win since early October, Wanderers will be lucky to keep the score looking reasonable as Danny Wilson’s Blades keep the pressure on the top 2.

1.5 with Bet365 200£ Free bets! isn’t the best odds, but -1 on the handicap at 2.1 is worth a look with Blue Square.

The Top 2 have tricky but manageable away fixtures as Sheffield Wed travel to Exeter City and Charlton Athletic journey north to Chesterfield.

Exeter have just 1 win in 10 and are just 2 places outside the relegation zone. City haven’t scored in their last 4 games and only once in their last 3 home game. On the other hand The Owls are flying high. 2nd in the league, score for fun and love to travel. Just 1 defeat in 7 away from home with an average of 2 goals per game, shows that Gary Megson’s men mean business when they go on their travels.

Top dogs Charlton Athletic visit lowly Chesterfield as another victory puts another toe back in the Championship. Just 1 defeat in 16 for the Valley boys tells us the return is imminent. Just 1 defeat in 8 away games also means they should come away with all 3 points as Chesterfield seem to be doomed to league 2 football next season.

Even though the Spirites have had a little run of form with 2 wins in 5, The Addick’s are so hard to turn over they should leave the B2Net stadium with all 3 points.
