Horse Racing Tips – Wednesday 15 February – Lingfield and Kelso

Well I just love wasting my time going through a Folkestone card that I still honestly believe could have gone ahead as the thaw begins to set in here in the South of England.

However, North we must go this Wednesday as Nicky Henderson will have to dust down his SatNav and drive off to Kelso, hardly one of his more local tracks and a drive of approximately 700 miles round trip so he must be quietly confident of mopping up a few prizes with his three horse raiding party which has been pared down considerably from an original eleven possibilities. The question is, do we assume those left in have the best chances of success, or do we decide they are the ones who most need a run, and the fact is only the stable really know the answer to that question.  Personally, I am a keep the faith kind of guy and will be backing the ex German flat horse Lyvius on the opener, all be it to small stakes. Already as low as 25/1 for the Triumph Hurdle (which is frankly laughable even if he wins this by a County), but I will steal any odds against this afternoon in case he really is as good as some close to the yard claim?

With literally everything else on the card odds on favourites material, I will dash off (figuratively) to Lingfield where I quite like the William Knight trained Princess Lexi in the 3.30pm. The yard did me a favour with Palace Moon the other day and this five year old has won over a higher rating, though my bets will be reduced as she is yet to win on an all-weather track after (wait for it), nine unsuccessful attempts.
