Football Picks – Serie A and Bundesliga

Vicenza – Crotone
Four of Vicenza’s last 5 matches have seen at least 2 goals, but Crotone beats that statistics by a mile. In their last 10 matches there have been at least 2 goals, and let’s take a look at recent meetings between these 2 sides, starting with the latest one.

2-2, 1-2, 1-2, 0-2, 1-2. It seems then, that there’s a good probability of watching some goals here.

Norwich – Leicester
The same can be said about this FA Cup-tie, if you look at each sides statistics. Leicester has scored in 16 of their last 18 matches, and in 6 of their last 7 they have scored at least twice.

Norwich has scored in 7 of their last 9 matches, and in 6 of their last 8 matches they too have scored at least twice. Their first 2 FA Cup-matches have ended 4-1 and 2-1 and they played 2 very entertaining matches against Leicester last season in the Championship.

Norwich won them both 3-2 and 4-3 and in 6 of their last 7 meetings both sides have scored.

Lecce – Siena
Lecce’s last 2 matches have both ended goalless, while Siena’s last 2 outings have finished 1-0 and 0-0. So 2 strong defences and will anyone break the deadlock?

3 of Lecce’s last 5 matches have ended without a winner just like 2 of Siena’s last 4 matches and their record against each other also suggests that odds 3.20 on this outcome is a fine price worth taking on.

In 4 of their last 5 meetings with Lecce as a home team, the match has finished without a winner.

Hannover 96 – Stuttgart
Hannover is unbeaten in 8 matches so it could be a daunting task to go against them, but I’ll run the risk.

In their last awaymatch Stuttgart managed a 2-2 against Leverkusen which is no small feat and last weekend they finally won a match for the first time since November when hammering Berlin by 5-0.

So it could be a visiting team on the rise, coming to Hannover, while the home side might be a bit weary.

Thursday night they played a very tough match in the Europa League and the return leg is already coming up next week. One could doubt that they can manage both.
