Tennis Picks – Zagreb and Montpellier

Michael Berrer – Marco Chiudinelli
Chiudinelli has qualified into this tournament but I’m still going to go with Berrer as for some reason he really fancies this tournament in Zagreb. He has reached the final in both 2011 and 2010, which means he also has a lot of points to defend.

They have met 4 times before with Berrer leading 3-1, and his 3 wins came on carpet and indoor hard, just like the surface in Zagreb.

Adrian Mannarino – Michael Russell
Russell leads 1-0 in h2h but that match was on hard court back home in the US. This is France, it’s indoors and thereby much more Mannarino’s turf which is why I’m positive he’ll get his revenge.

Jürgen Melzer – Philipp Petschzner
In Zagreb you really have to question whether Melzer should be favourite in this match. There are only 15 places to divide them on the rankings, and this is the 4th time these 2 meet. Petschzner has yet to lose a set and he beat Melzer on January 3rd this year.

Carlos Berlocq – Daniel Gimeno-Traver
Ending the day in Chile, where these 2 meet for the 4th time on clay. On the previous 3 occasions Berlocq has won each time. Twice in 2010 and once in 2011. Enough said.
