A small wager on 2 games in the FA Cup that appear nailed on to go to replays.
The first game is League 2 leaders Southend United who take on League 1′s Oldham Athletic. Southend are slight favourites for the game as they have home advantage and are flying in league 2. Unbeaten in 16 games, Paul Sturrock’s men are full of confidence and will be ready for the challenge as this is the kind of opposition they will be facing next season if they do get promoted. Oldham come into the game undefeated in 4 and have scored 8 goals in the last 3 games. Currently in mid table the Latics should hold their own in this tight encounter.
Next we have a clash of 2 teams from league 2. Bradford City have home advantage against AFC Wimbledon, but are struggling in league 2 as they are just above the relegation zone. The rest bite of the FA Cup could be good for the team, with less pressure than the intensity of the league. City earned a valuable point last week away to in form Gillingham and Phil Parkinson’s men will be aiming to put in a decent performance. Wimbledon are in mid table and will prove to be tough opponents, they will be happy to take this tie to a replay. On top of that the Dons have drawn 5 out of their last 7 games and we hope it continues today.
