Football Picks – Serie A – No excuse for Inter

Bologna – Inter 2
It has been nothing less than a dreadful start to the season for Inter, who has lost at Novara and Palermo, played a home draw against Roma, and lost to Trabzonspor in the Champions League.

It was therefore no sensation that coach Gasperini was thrown out Tuesday night after the most recent disappointment. Especially since he apparently had already lost any confidence with the players.

Rumour has it that some of them stood up against his tactics against Novara. No exactly a good sign and probably true, but now, when the seemingly unpopular coach has been thrown out, we must expect a reaction from the players.

Now they’ve got what they wanted, they also have to deliver the goods. And after all we know they can.

Dynamo Kyiv – Shakhtar Donetsk (draw no bet) 1
It’s usually the Championship these 2 play for, and nothing indicates that this excersise should be any different this season. Both have gained 8 wins and 2 draws after 10 rounds.

Shakhtar have shown just a little bit of weaknesses away from home where they’ve given up points against Chernomorets, who is still without a win at all, and Arsenal Kiev, who has yet to win at home.

The main reason for this bet however is that both teams are extremely
motivated in their home matches against their only rival in the title race.

None of the 12 latest league meetings have thus resulted in an away win and the last seven in a row has ended with a home win. Shakhtar have not won a league match at Dynamo Kiev since 2004.

Braga – Nacional 1
Braga has opened the season very strongly with three wins and two draws in their five league matches, while also doing well in the European League.

Both of their home matches have been won by the two goals and there seems to be good reason to trust them against Nacional.

The latter has lost three of their first five games, among them against Guimaraes and Benfica, last season’s number five and two, and here they visit number 4 in the table from last season.

Only Porto and Benfica was better at home last season than Braga and in their past nine visits here, Nacional have taken just a single point.
