Football: League 1 & 2 Goals Combo

Goals Galore is the most favourite bet at the moment with punters not having to worry about who wins, just about both teams scoring in the match.

As the Christmas and New Year period comes to an end we see a host of games that instantly jumping out at us for this bet.

First up we have Notts County V Hartlepool. Paul Ince has been manager for two months and has already steadied the ship and has County in mid table now, with only one scoreless game in nine and a crushing 3-0 away win against Walsall last time out.  Hartlepool also in a rich vein of form with seven wins out of eight and have scored in every game since the goalless draw in the first week of November.

Next game is Oldham Athletic v Rochdale where both teams have only failed to score once in twelve games, both teams have near identical records with just over 2.5 goals being an average so far this season for their games, with the last three games for Oldham bringing 14 goals and Rochdale’s games showing 10.

Game three is Accrington Stanley v Chesterfield. Accrington at home are a different team to the one away, which is why we go for this game. Only failing once in eleven games is also a factor. League leaders Chesterfield score for fun, with Jack Lester on fire and a good 4-1 victory last time out cements the pick.

Finally we have Gillingham v Wycombe W. Both teams are doing nicely in league 2. Wycombe have four consecutive wins and 8 goals, with the Gills scoring 11 goals in their last four games. 2.7 goals is the average for these two teams this term per game.

Pick : 2011-01-03
