Football: Swindon to be too strong for Crawley

The Robins to keep us Bob,bob bobbing Along!

Even though Crawley Town are 2nd in the Conference, I believe the gulf between them and League 1 outfit Swindon Town is too big of a gap for Swindon to be 1.80 to win this FA Cup match. I will bet homewin on a cold and wintry Tuesday evening in Wiltshire.

The first encounter ended in stalemate with a 1-1 draw meaning a replay tonight. Swindon taking the lead through striker Charlie Austin, but it lasted only 10 minutes as Matt Tubbs scored a deserved equalizer. The winner will be at home against Championship side Derby County in round 3.

Danny Wilson believes Swindon will qualify for round 3 if they play the way they did against Sheffield Wednesday in the league last time out, after a good 2-1 victory. Jon-Paul McGovern was on target for The Robins and he is a key member of the squad, and could be on target again for the Robins. Only 3 goals in 20 matches – but he is a lively midfielder who is up and down the pitch and shoots freely.

Crawley Town have one eye on automatic promotion as themselves and AFC Wimbledon set the pace in the Conference, so will the FA Cup be a distraction for the minnows from West Sussex?

I am expecting League 1’s Swindon to be far too strong for Crawley as The Robins will be looking to keep their good form going in this 2nd round replay. My betting for the evening is:

Pick : Swindon to win @ 1.8 with Coral 30£ Free bet! (3 Points)
Pick : Jon-Paul McGovern to score first goal @ 15.0 with Coral (0.5 point)
Pick : Jon-Paul McGovern to score anytime @ 5.5 with Coral (1 Point)
