Spread Betting : Sell the goals at 3 in El Classico

Hola a todos! And welcome to an El Classico special edition of the blog.

This is now (some say always has been) the biggest match in domestic European football.

Despite the Camp Nou being Europe’s biggest stadium, with a capacity of 99,354, FC Barcelona v Real Madrid is always a sell out and the tickets are like gold dust. The best club side I’ve ever seen take on the next generation of Galacticos in tonight’s crucial la liga matchup

It’ll be traded live in running by the spread companies and we’re going to have a little look at some possible value for tonight.

Now, both sides have been on rampant form this season, absolutely smashing several shades out of the rest of the league. Barca have an average of 4.2 goals for their last 5 games. That’s just Barca as well and not the total goals in each match! Madrid have racked up an average of 3.4 goals in each of their last 5 games as well.

The average goals in the last 5 meetings of these 2 is pretty high at 3.6. However, that includes the epic 6-2 match we all remember so fondly.

Everything pretty much points towards a goal fest!

Couple of points to consider.

The average goals at the Camp Nou for their last 5 meetings is only 2.4. Actually less than average for the league.

Jose Mourinho is in charge of Madrid these days. He won’t be shipping too many goals, even against Messi and co.

Madrid are ahead in the league. I think they’ll consider a draw a decent result.

Verdict: Ignore the hype and sell the goals at 3. I can’t see 4 or more goals in this game and this is a decent way to capitalise on the “Goal carnage” view of the game
