Betting on X Factor Live show 7

The theme of this week’s show is:  The Beatles

With only 8 remaining acts crunch time is really approaching! All the contestants are really going to have to pull it together as no one is safe!

Performing on this week’s elimination show will be Olly Murs, and all 16 X factor finalist will be singing a charity single for Help for Hero’s.

So who are the remaining hopefuls who compete for X Factor 2010 glory:

Groups mentored by Simon Cowell:   One Direction

Girls mentored by Cheryl Cole:  Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Ferguson, and Katie Waissel

Boys mentored by Dannii Minogue: Matt Cardle and wild card Paije Richardson

Over 28’s mentored by Louis Walsh: Mary Bryne, and wild card Wagner Carrilho

*Matt Cardle* sang ‘Come Together’ He was the first to kick off the show, well this was certainly a different side to Matt this week it was rock and roll sexy! I love it….!! Vocally I thought it was brilliant, it was a strong performance from this cheeky painter and decorator! I wasn’t keen on his outfit, but I think he was enjoying have all those sexy clad dancers around him! The audience went nuts for him! Simon Cowell had his claws out about his dress sense, but he could not fault his vocals!

* Cher Lloyd* sang ‘Imagine’ which is one of John Lennon’s most iconic songs, and it was a good performance from this young Worcestershire lass.  I think it was a simply beautiful performance. It was funny that Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole were having a rant between each other over the staircase that she sang on! Crazy! Vocally I thought it was great!  I have no clue what Louis Walsh was going on about! I think she will be safe!

*One Direction* Sang ‘ All You Need Is Love’ it was a brilliant song choice for the young lads, it was fresh and funky! Another brilliant performance from these little heart throbs, it was fun and they looked confident! I think Dannii Minogue’s comments were a little harsh! I thought they were really good!  The audience were going crazy all you could hear were screaming girls.

*Rebecca Ferguson* sang ‘Yesterday’ wow, it was a really pitchy performance from her! I think she was really nervous and it came through into her vocals! Plus what the hell did she have on??? Some red 80’s looking suit, she looked like Sade and I was distracted by those clown pants!  However I think she will be safe!

*Mary Byrne*sang ‘Something’ it was a beautiful, vocally she was on fire, her confidence was back and you could see it! She belted that song out! It was fantastic and the judges loved her! I like what the judges had to say, it was a glowing review from all. Dannii Minogue said ‘’ That was up there with your best, best performance’’. She will definitely will be safe this week!

*Paije Richardson* sang ‘Let It Be’  I thought he looked amazing, it was the best outfit he has worn through the show so far! After the harsh comments from last week I am sure he will come out with fire in his belly to prove Simon Cowell wrong and he certainly did, it was a very strong performance from this young lad.  I like the fact that Louis Walsh, sticks up for Paije and is really rooting for him and I’m glad he does, he can see how hard he works! Cheryl Cole said ‘’ There was something angelic, something beautiful about your performance’’ and I have to agree it was lovely! I hope he will be here next week!

*Wagner Carrilho * sang another mash up which included ‘Get Back’,  ‘Hippy, Hippy Shake and finally ‘Hey Jude’. CRINGE is the only word I can describe this performance!  I like what Dannii Minogue had to say ‘’ I’m not going to talk about the singing’ nicely said! Plus the dig Cheryl Cole had at him and his apology just made for uncomfortable viewing! But I will give him credit because he does put a lot of effort into his performances for his age!

*Katie Waissel* sang ‘Help’ It was a really delicate performance from her, no ego, no horrid hair! Just stripped back, simple vocals! I’m not a fan of Katie’s but I really enjoyed her vocals and I like the new hair cut!  Louis Walsh said ‘’Vocally that was incredible’’.  I actually think she will be safe this week!  Is Simon Cowell under a Katie spell??

That was another great X Factor live show.  Let’s see who goes, only the public can decide!!

Betting: We hit jackpot last week with our Aiden pick. Hmmm… This time we back the bookies’ favourite. Wagner has his support, but I still think he is coming closer to the end. He will definitely lose in a sing-off with Katie. There also seems to be movement in the market for a Wagner exit, and we put our money on Bet365. Wagner’s soon history…
